I spent all Saturday afternoon tailgating on the Texas campus. There was food and beer everywhere you turned. One group was giving away all the hot dogs and chips you could eat and all the beer you wanted. I did not drink any of their beer but I ate at least a half dozen of their dogs. About an hour before the kickoff between Texas and Colorado, I climbed to the top of a large parking garage next to the stadium and watched the fans start filling up the stadium. By that time I had had enough of the activities at UT and decided to change the pace so I went to the Zilker Park Hillside Theater for the Austin Jazz Festival. I caught the first band on the program then headed home while listen to the Texas football game on the radio.
