I missed a neighborhood Thanksgiving cook out on turkey day. Some of the neighbors got together to fry a turkey and decided to shorten the process by frying turkey breast instead of the whole bird. Things did not turn out too good. The turkey breast turned to mush but never fear there was enough alcohol at the event that no one really cared. This afternoon on a trip to the neighborhood store there was a canoe lying in the middle of the road directly in front of the store. Bystanders pulled the canoe into the store's parking lot then lots of law men showed up. Someone had left Pace Bend Park and did not tie the canoe down very well and it either fell out of their truck or off the top of their roof, nobody knew which. Who ever lost the canoe never knew they lost it because they never stopped. I would be willing to bet the was quite a lot of alcohol involved in their day on the lake.
