I sure had an interesting lunch hour. I spent the hour at Book People where I listened to ABC reporter John Quinones. He talked for an hour and a half about his life and heroes he has encountered in the world. He was very nice and spoke with me several minutes before he started his presentation. Butler Park and the Hike and Bike trail is just down the street from Book People so I spent time at both of those places after leaving Book People. Before leaving Austin I attended an art exhibit at the Butridge Gallery then stopped in Bee Caves for ice cream on the way home to Spicewood. Amy's Ice Cream was celebrating 25 years of being in business and if you know Austin well you know Amy's is the place to be if you want ice cream. Today all Amy's location gave away free ice cream to celebrate their 25 anniversary.
