I sure thought I was going to be late for the downtown Austin Veterans Day parade when I ran ran into a traffic nightmare in Bee Caves. Once I got through the traffic tie up the rest of my trip to town was a breeze. With lots of people off for the holiday the inbound 8 AM rush hour traffic moved at 70 mph all the way into downtown Austin. I even got to UT with enough time for a coffee stop at the Texas Exes lounge. At the coffee shop I spent thirty minutes visiting and drinking coffee with one of UT's assistant cycle coaches. There is nothing more up lifting than spending thirty minutes with a 22 year old, 6ft, blonde, beautiful woman who just happens to be a UT coach. The traffic tie up in Bee Caves had put me in some what of a foul mood but after the coffee break I had a spring in my step the rest of the day. I spent most of the remaining morning and early afternoon in and around the Texas Capital going to Veterans day events. Needing a computer part, I made the trip to far North Austin where I killed two birds with one stone, an art exhibit and a new AC adapter for my laptop. Just before arriving home I stopped at the neighborhood connivance store where I met neighbor Ed for a late afternoon Coke break. We visited for about an hour then the both of us drove the two miles to home.
