Arriving at the Jamail Swim Center just in time for the National Anthem started my Saturday. The Texas men's and women's swim team took on the University of Georgia. As expected, Texas the NCAA # 1 men's team defeated the Georgia men 163-126 but Georgia, the NCAA # 1 women's team was defeated by # 4 UT 153-147. I watched the swimming part of the meet then walked over to the Erwin Center to watch the Longhorn men open their Big 12 conference season with a win over the University of Colorado 103-86. Seems like my timing was perfect once again as I arrived at the basketball game just at the Longhorns were taking the court for the start of the game. After the game my planning seem to fall apart. I had planed to watch the first game of the NFL playoff at UT but when I got to the location I found the building locked so I went to one of UT coffee shops and the main UT Library, they were also closed. With several hours before the Lady Horns basketball game was to start I went back to the swim center and watched the diving contest then walked over to the Erwin center to watch the basketball game between the Lady Longhorn and the Ladies form Texas A&M. I left the game at half time. The Aggies had a 25 point halftime lead and eventually won the game 91-70.
