The Aqua Palooza music festival kicked off last night. This event takes place on Lake Travis only a mile from my house. The concert on the water is only accessible from the water so you have to be on a boat to listen to the music. As of Friday at 5pm, 1000 boats had tied up together at the concert site with another 3000 boats expected today. The event organizers expect 30,000-40,000 people all in one spot in Lake Travis. The free event may even draw more with the lake full of water. Yesterday afternoon I saw a steady stream of people passing my house, hauling their boats to the boat ramp in Pace Bend Park. Looks like it will be a good day to stay out of Lake Travis. Maybe I'll head for Lake Marble Falls.
