Last night around 9:30 PM lots of emergency vehicles streamed into the Moon River Bar& Grill next door. Soon after their arrival several police cars showed up. I have not been able to find out what happened but I would not be surprised if there was a big fight at the bar & grill. As I was getting ready to leave for Austin this morning a neighbor stopped by and wanted some computer research. I found the information for him then headed for the Texas State Capital. At the Capital I attended the memorial service for former Governor Dolph Briscoe. The third floor gallery of the Texas Senate Chamber sets about 530 so I got there forty five minutes early to be sure and get a seat. There were only about 170 of the public in attendance so I had no trouble getting a seat. Everyone was invited to a reception with Mr. Briscoe's family but I elected not to go to the reception.
