I had planned to stay home today but today was such a beautiful day I went to an Austin park I've never been to before. Mayfield Park just happened to have a Texas Persimmon tree that won Austin's 2009 small tree of the year award. After walking all over the park I finally located the tree. A couple of miles from the park was an exhibit of glass art so before leaving the area I took in the glass exhibit. Later in the afternoon I went to the Texas Capital and joined the Rest In Peace tour that I tried to join last week. Learned a lot about people who met their untimely deaths at the Capital, the tour was very interesting. While at the Capital I went down to the basement for my second art exhibit of the day. As I was walking back across UT to my auto I ran into the Texas football team as they were walking to practice, hope they win on Saturday. My last stop of the day was at the AA club, attending the last half of the afternoon meeting.
