It's going to be a fast paced day! I have already stopped in South Austin to look at a giant pumpkin and I do mean giant. If you guess the correct weight of the gigantic gourd you win a $300 shopping spree at the store where the giant pumpkin is on display. Now that I have concluded my only Halloween event of the 31st I am setting in the third floor gallery of the Texas House of Representatives at the Texas State Capital waiting for the Texas Book Fair to begin. Today I will listen to three authors discuss their book, a cooking demonstration, a honey making demonstration, a play about Edgar Allen Poe and a music concert by Austin's Eastside Kings. All these activities take place at the Texas Book Fair in and around the Capital so I'll be on the move all day.
