I had the luck I was hoping for and completed the scheduled maintenance on my auto by 8:15 AM in Bee Caves. With the extra time I was able to visit Zilker Park where I watched City of Austin Crews string Christmas Lights on the community tree. Took in an AA meeting mid morning then once again took a short walk on the hike and bike trail on the eastern part of Lady Bird Lake. I had parked at the Mexican American Cultural Center for my walk so before leaving the Center I attended two of their Art exhibits. It was such a nice day I decided to walk into downtown for the noon concert at Central Presbyterian Church. On my way to the church I noticed lots of downtown streets blocked off. Even more unusual, all the bicycle lanes were closed. About the time I was trying to figure out what was going on I noticed motorcycle police leading a single car down the middle of the street. It was a movie crew! They were filming a scene with a taxi mounted on a trailer. The camera crew was all over the trailer and taxi as they pulled the trailer all through downtown. Having to wait for the movie crew to finish almost made late for the piano concert. After the concert, I got held up once again by the filming as I walked back to my auto. I had a couple of hours of work in southwest Austin in the afternoon then home to Spicewood.
