Neighbor Ed had auto trouble this morning, a bad battery. I helped him get the truck running then he was off to Marble Falls to buy a new battery and I was on my way to south Austin for an AA meeting. In the afternoon I went hunting for a subwoofer for my mp3 dock. I was not successful during several stops at trying to find the subwoofer, didn't even find any to chose from. It was about supper time so I went over to Austin's Palmer Events Center where I joined several thousand people for the Feast of Sharing and ate a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. After the turkey and dressing there was still a little light left in the day so checked out the $53 million remodeling job at the LBJ Library. The job was completed a week ago and it looked like they did a fantastic job although I did not go inside, only walking the outside grounds and plaza. My evening schedule called for a concert at the Bass Recital Hall but I had a couple of hours before the music started so I got in some computer work at UT computer lab, completing this weeks Laywell's Lamp posting which I will post on Thursday instead of the usually Friday. As I headed for Bass Hall I passed by the LBJ Library for the second of third time I would pass the Library today. The sun had set and the lights had just been turned on at the Library, it was a pretty sight. The University of Texas University Orchestra preformed an almost two hour concert. 80 musicians of which 56 were string players rocked the house and got two standing ovations.
