The rain was suppose to have stopped before sunrise but it continued until noon causing a wet trip into Bee Caves to get a new tire put on my truck. By the time I made it to downtown Austin the rain had stopped so I did not get wet on my walk to and from the Harp and Hymn concert at St Davids Episcopal Church. After the concert I went to Bellmont Hall to buy some tickets for several University of Texas basketball games but was told I could only purchase the special holiday package over the phone or Internet. I know my way around UT so well I thought there had to be a way to get the tickets. I went to the UT marketing office on the second floor on Memorial Stadium and sure enough the marketing secretary sold me the tickets I wanted. She could not print the tickets, I'll have to go to the Box Office next week to pick them up but I was able to score tickets to five different UT basketball games for $19. The City of Austin was giving free H1N1 flu shots at the Tony Burger Sports Complex so I made a stop there before heading home. The crew at the Burger Center was unbelievably organized. From the time I got out of my car, walked into the center, got my shot, walked back to my car and drove out of the parking lot it took eight minutes.
