Just about the time I got ready to jump into Lake Marble Falls yesterday, a big rain storm quickly came up over the lake. Lots of people were pulling their water crafts out of the water so I decided not to swim and instead spent the afternoon at the city library while the rain poured down most of the afternoon. Today was a mid morning AA meeting where I saw an old friend that has been living in Alpine Texas for several years, enjoyed the visit. A concert downtown durning the noon hour. The concert was one of the last performances of the two week Austin Chamber Music Festival. I was behind on writing Friday's article for Laywell's Lamp blog so I headed for one of UT's journalism departments for some research time and a peaceful spot to do some writing. Shot a video of one of UT's historical buildings which was only a couple of blocks from the journalism department. I walk past this old brick building all the time but never knew of it's historical significance until last week. On the way home I stopped at the Bee Caves Library and read several newspapers.
