Sunday's visit to the Wildflower Center was the best of all my trips there. I guess the very wet Spring really helped the flowers and landscape. It was Lady Bird Tribute Day at the center so there was a special exhibit of some of Mrs Johnson's designer dresses and other mementos. I got to watch a sculpture at work as he created a life size clay bust of Lady Bird Johnson. UPS delivered the batteries for the neighbor's electric scooter today. I had ordered them for him on Thursday, the package got here fast. We had a very heavy rainstorm this afternoon. 4.1 inches of rain in less than an hour. There was some flooding on the State Hwy in front of my house and the area lost power. While the power was off several neighbors called me and ask me to watch the weather radar on my computer. I am the only one in the neighbor who has battery backup for the computer so they all wanted to be alerted by phone if more sever weather approached our neighborhood. The power came back on around 7:20 PM.
