I first noticed Barbara Jordan during the Watergate Hearings.  Every year since her death, her life is celebrated in Austin TX.  I listened to university students talk about her life, view an exhibit about Barbara Jordan at the Texas State Capital, spent time in the shadow of her statue and looked a long time finnaly finding the tree planted in her honor
