Today was full of disappointments and a few pleasures. I was at the Texas State Capital complex before noon for a Future Farmers of America exhibit. You would think with all the agriculture in Texas the exhibit would have been fantastic but I was severely disappointed. It was a total waste of time. There was a Valentine's Day festival only a block from the Capital so I decided to see if love was in bloom. It was not and I experienced my next disappointment. I was so disappointed with the two tables of Valentine material I just kept on walking never bothering to stop at the festival. The one highlight of the festival was when I walked by the site, someone gave me a string of beads to wear. With extra time I had just enough time to get to the UT music department and attend a memorial service for a Texas professor who died over the weekend. I'll write more about the memorial service in tomorrows edition of Front Page. Valentine's Day would not be complete without sweets, strawberries to be exact. I stopped for a Strawberry Sunday on the way home.

Love the necklace...
